Watch Out Minnisota Here We Come...

We left Utah on Monday, January 4th and caught our plane just in time. At the airport, we stood in the check in line for an hour. The front desk was not accepting ANYONE who checked in their luggage 30 minutes prior to their flight. We got up to the lady checking in our luggage and her clock said 2:30 p.m. and our departure was 3:04 p.m. She checked us fast and we were on our way to cut the HUGE security line because we were traveling with Tanner! (Thanks buddy!)

Tanner did really good on the airplane. People were telling us to make sure he was eating or sucking on a pacifier. So here I am all stricked on not letting him eat until the plane takes off. Well, the plane starts to drive, I get his bottle and start feeding him. He finishes the whole thing about 10 seconds before the plane actually takes off. But, to my surprise he liked the whole flying experience. He slept most of the time because of the loud noise and jiggling.

We had a layover in Denver then got to Minnesota at 9:55 p.m. I was so excited to meet the cold. We went to our baggage claim and watched everyone's luggage spin round and round, round and round, round and round.

At about 10:30 p.m. we realized that ALL of our belongings were MIA. I was so tired from traveling but luckily Tanner was crashed in his car seat. We went to the baggage services and they looked up our luggage and they said they had no record of our luggage. I was going to loose my top, well not my shirt because that would be freezing. The lady was no help, Steven and I stood there not knowing what the heck we were going to do. I was imagining all this money blowing out of the door, turning into ice cubes and being shattered by a snow plow!!! At midnight we thought we should just go and hopefully it turns up somewhere and have the airline send it to us. Just as we were leaving this random guy came rolling in with a cart of suitcases. All three of our cases where on it! I was so excited!

When I got outside I took a breath and my nostrils felt like I sniffed up two icicle, pointy side up. So by the time we got to our hotel for the night it was 1:00 a.m.

We got up early the next day to pick up our rental and move into our new place. We got here with tooooo many detores due to being lost. I broke down and got a GPS, being so turned around in this winter wonder land.

The sun is so beautiful here when it hits the snow. Every morning when I take Steven to work I feel so blessed to be in such a gorgeous place. I can not even imagine what it looks like when the snow melts.
We love it here because there is only 4,000 people in Wayzata! That is a huge difference from Glendale, California which is 207,303 people. I can drive as slow and enjoy the scenery.

We live right next to Lake Minnetonka.

This is Wayzata's little shopping center just down the street.

I went for a walk, by myself, and froze my face off! I felt sun burnt at this point.

This is our view from our patio! Isn't it beautiful?

We rented a SUV and the snow reaches up to the fender!!!

These are the homes that look over Lake Minnetonka
(I wanna live there!)

The only thing I have to complain about is that NO one has accents. I mean, what the heck is that? I was sooo looking forward to picking up a new accent. I should drive to the boondocks to find someone with one I guess. My mom said I have some cousin's who are floating around Minnesota somewhere, I should look them up, duntcha know!
