Juggling Act

A couple weeks ago I went to my mom's house to stay the week so Steven could finished up his finals week in peace and quiet. Tanner had been crying non-stop every night, ALL night long.
I found out that Tanner was having a rough time because of the foods I was eating and also NOT eating. My friend told me to start drinking Fennel tea with every meal to help ease Tanner's upset tummy, and also was given some homeopathic colic tables that dissolve in his mouth to help calm him down when he has lost it or better yet when I can't calm him down. I did that for about a week and was really seeing great results. We were all sleeping through the night and doing great!

Then I started back up at work last Thursday. When I came home that afternoon I realized I felt like fainting!! I could not figure out what the heck was wrong! In the middle of that night while I was sleeping I got freaked-out awake, it felt like I was fainting or even falling down a cliff, in my sleep. I thought maybe I am so overwhelmed that my body is just rebelling! Tanner soon woke up after my episode of falling and he started crying so I fed him and changed him and did all that I could and he was still pretty upset. What to do!!!!!? What to do!!!!!? Luckily, Steven was done with school and was able to jump in to help.

I thought, "Okay something is not right!" I talked it out with Steven and realized that I had not been eating!!! I have been so overwhelmed with taking care of everything and stressing over Tanner that I forgot to take care of me! I am breast feeding him so my body was pulling out all the nutrients that Tanner needed from my body and left NONE for me! OH BILLY!!!!!! It is hard taking care of myself too!!! So I have been on top of my eating and making sure I get LOTS of protein and whole grains in EVERY meal or else I feel like I have hypoglycemia or something...

I figured that if I could find more time to sleep AND take care of myself I will be able to manage everything! :)

So the top two time consuming issues that needed to be resolved were:
1. To know when Tanner needed something BEFORE he cries
and
2. How to turn OFF his cries when all else fails

Stress, Stress, Stress!!!!!!

So to make a long story complete, these two videos are the saving grace to all my juggling acts.
THANK GOODNESS!!!!!!!! Tanner is a much happier baby now that I can help him and me! :)

The final hours

Okay.... these are my final hours before the Flip Festival rehearsals start! This has been an on going project since January and now I have until 4:45 p.m. this evening to have it completed! I just have little nit picky stuff to do, I am pretty sure I will be smooth sailing once this thing starts! Yesterday I had to recount the tickets that were sold, just to make sure we have enough seating, and realized the number of spectators and athletes is a whopping 400 people!!!! That is my biggest concern but hey, they want a show I will give them a show!
I hired my little sister to take pictures for the event so after the two days of being M.IA from blogging I should have pictures posted of the show. Crazy!
When the show is done I will be able to concentrate on Tanner and get ready for him, finally. I have been so swamped with work that the only time I have to really think about being pregnant is when I am blogging! So thank heaven for blogging, otherwise I would have woke up after the show and freaked out and wondered how this whole thing happened! Just kidding I know EXACTLY how it happened. Hehehehe Everyone have a great day! I will see ya in 2 days! PEACE...

She Returns

Our girls at the gym got another surprise and I got it on tape!

Shawn Johnson doing a handstand contest with our girls.

Our Team girls showing Shawn their group routine. I don't think they
would have every imagined performing it for Miss. Shawn!
Routine was choreographed by Nicole (our team director).

Look how huge I am to her! I feel like a jolly green giant! Oh well...

Alicia Sacramone

At work last Friday I got the chance to meet Alicia Sacramone, thanks to Nicole. Nicole is the team director at our gym and happen to run into her at a meet not too long ago. Nicole has a choreography
company called Precision Choreography, she finds well known dancers and gymnasts to go across the country to choreograph routines for her company. She was able to hire Alicia as one of her choreographers!!! Amazing hu? I am so lucky to be apart of this industry!!
Anyway, Nicole asked Alicia to come into our gym to help out with our girls. Nicole kept it a secret from our gymnast just to see what they would do! So Alicia comes waltzing into the gym and it took the girls a good 20 minutes to realize who was helping them out! It was really funny to watch the girl's eyes bulging out of their heads. The girls
worked harder and they were much more tighter in practice, more than I have EVER seen them!

I have to say after meeting Shawn Johnson the other month Alicia Sacramone is WAY cooler, and is much more personable. I introduced myself and I stuck out my hand, but then SHE gave me a hug! Everyone wanted to take a picture with her but she was running late so I was one of the only ones to sneak a picture!
This is my favorite video of her at the 2007 Visa Championships, only because I was there in the stands! :)

Gymnastically Over Loaded!

I have been so CRAZY busy with work the last couple weeks, and it has all payed off! I had so much to do that I invited my sister to come out to Burbank and help me. My camera is retarded and it has the wrong date on the pictures, it is suppose to read the week of 3-29-2009 (not like anyone cares, but I do!). Anyway, my gym rented out the Pasadena Convention Center for our meet called, Ready to Peak. The meet was on Saturday and Sunday, but the hardest work went into setting up on Friday and tearing down on Sunday night. These pictures don't really do much justice to how big this event was!!!

              P.C.C at first arrival
Since I could not lift anything, I got to put together the trophies!
This is the huge semi with a whole gym carefully packed in.
And the fun begins....... NOT!!!!!

It was nice to be the photographer! Not one person let me lift ONE thing! I should be pregnant every year! mmmmmmmm..... how about NO!

Here are some pictures of the first session! This meet in total held 350 gymnasts!

This is Danny. She is one of our gymnasts at Golden State! She just started level 7 not too long ago and she made it to state with her floor routine. Just a little side note, she is Eva Mendez's niece! Eva generally comes to watch her but I guess she did not make it this year :(

Me and Breanna working admissions! I wanted to pull my hair out at this point, we were on day three!!!!   This job is the worst one because we had to work with parents who thought their kids were the shiznits!
Which  they are NOT unless you child is.........

 SHAWN JOHNSON

Yea I know..... I am way cool! So Miss Shawn came to our gym to do an interview with Access Hollywood last Wednesday. She is sooooo ity bitty! I could look on the top of her head! It was really funny! We had to act like "Oh this kind of stuff happens every day at our gym, lalala." But inside I was like "Oh Mi Goodness I have the best job in the world!"

The lady who interviewed her was SOOOO annoying!!!

This picture was taken out of the office! Sorry for the glass shot! I thought it was cute though!

This is the actual video that was aired the next day! Check em' out, if you pause the video when the camera is facing the office you can see me! I AM FAMOUS!!!

Marsha, Marsh, Marsha

My gym throws birthday parties for about 30 kids for about $500! If you have over 30 kids it is an extra $200. It is a crazy amount, I think. Anyway, last week this parent found us on our website, called us and said, "I want to book a party for about 50 kids." We said, "Okay, blah, blah, blah, and your total will be $700." (This is for a freakin birthday party!!!) She said, "Okay, done will take it." So I stay for this big shin dig yesterday and ALL the moms that were there were rockin' a two carat or more diamond ring on there finger. Let's just say I was way out of place with my beautiful 1/2 carat wedding ring. Well if you want to get technical my ring totals 2 carats, I guess I did fit in, in a way! Needless to say, these parents are not having any trouble in our economic struggle.

So, I am talking with my co-working and there I see standing in the sea of wealthy parents is the well known Christine Taylor (Marsha Braidy!!! Matilda Jeffries, from Zoolander!!!). Living out here in Hollywood land is pretty cool! When I saw her I thought OH MI GOODNESS!!!! That means her daughter, which of whom is made from Ben Stiller, is in my gym!!! So I am sitting in my office looking out on the floor to see if I could spot her daughter. I was looking for big ears and blond hair, that's what I thought she would look like. My other co-worker said, "I saw that little girl get a drink out of "Marsha's" water bottle, I'm pretty sure it is her." I look and the ONLY resemblance is Ben's ears. Other than that, I would have had not idea! I thought to myself, "I should get her autograph!! I will never see her again!!" But then I realized that I already have it!!!!!! Before any kid sets foot in the gym they HAVE to have a waiver signed BY THEIR PARENT!!! So here I am thumbing through a stack of about 60 waiver forms and guess who was third to last? Yep...Christine Taylor!!! I wonder how much it's worth? HaHa, just kidding!!

I am so tired!

I had the longest weekend of my life. I finally got to catch up on my sleep last night. My gym had a meet Saturday and Sunday and I had to work both days plus counting set up and tear down. Friday I got there at 3:30pm to help set up, that is moving ALL the gym equipment out and setting up Floor, Vault, Beam, and Bars to the USAG (USA Gymnastics) guidelines. Friday night was all finished at about 9:00pm or so. Then Saturday and Sunday was a 7:30am - 8:15pm grind. Granted we did get about an hour between sessions but it is not the time to go home and recuperate, it is the hour to clean up and get ready for the next session. I got so tired on Sunday that I felt like I was not going to make it through the day. When all the gymnasts were done competing a group of us put the gym back into order. So we lifted floors and a trampoline, beams, pits, and unloaded a truck full of other mats used for training. When the night was all over it was 10:15pm and I could not move. I stayed at the gym for another half an hour just laying there trying to gear myself up for the drive home. I worked 33 hours last weekend. I honestly do not know how some people do this all season long!
All and all I have to say I did have fun even though I was tired. The people that worked with us were really fun to be around. I get to stay home this morning and then it is back to the gym I go.
