Youth Cultural Event, Plymouth Ward 2010

Last month our ward performed in the stake youth cultural event. For those who are members of the church, I refer to it as the "Road Show". For those who are not members of the church, the youth cultural event is a show performed by kids ages 12-18. In each ward the adults plan a script for their kids and the stake gives us a theme, songs, and rules to abide by.

Our theme: Seasons

Our songs: Popcorn popping, Once there was a snowman

Our rules:
-5 minutes long (give or take)
-Singing
-Dancing
-Some type of a lift (jump, flip, or something of that nature.)
-Practice only THREE times

The whole event was named, "Are you smarter then a sunbeam." The bishops of each ward are the contestants and are asked sunbeam questions, by a "Jeff Fox Worthy," for example, how many articles of faith are there? The bishop answers the questions correctly by himself or with the help of some "sunbeams" (kids dressed up like 3 year olds). Then the show continues on to a "commercial break" and that is where we come in.

What we came up with:
A kid sitting on a couch watching "Are you smarter then a sunbeam" at home, and there is a commercial break so he decided to see what else was on, so he changes the channel to:

-Dancing with the Popping Stars
then to..
-A suspenseful tv series
gets tired of that, then watches...
-A movie preview
and ends his commercial break with
MNTV ( aka... MTV )

So without greater ado...Please welcome the Plymouth Ward!!

These videos were recorded and then played on the day of the show...
Both videos are the same, just different viewing methods. F.Y.I The bigger one is more pixelated.
