I am in charge of a segment of the Cultural Event, aka the Road Show. Our task is to make a 5 minute sketch using Primary songs based off of seasons. I chose the song, "Once There Was a Snowman."
We have one Snowman, who is Micheal Snowman, with a crooked carrot nose, and his back up dancers doing the "Thriller" dance, and some extra kids who can't dance wearing snuggies, doing a more simplified routine (just for kicks). We are calling this section "The Chiller"
These are the things I have done thus far...
1. Found a back tracking song to "Thriller."
2. Chopped it in garage band to fit 1 minute.
3. Wrote extra lyics to go with, "Once There Was a Snowman" using "Thriller" music.
4. I am in the middle of learning the "Thriller" dance, to teach the YM and YW.
5. The main dancers are wearing all black with a glittered silver glove.
The only big task is, who in the heck is going to record the song? I am not going to sing it! But if it comes down to it I guess I could. I just don't want to hear myself over, and over, and over while the kids are practicing the dance. When I do finish the song I will post it to see if you guys like it.
I am really excited about it AND it is helping be to get back into shape!! The "Thriller" dance is rough on my body, isn't that so sad?
